Ein legacy Evaluation Package kann auf die neuste Version auf Basis des Kinemic Gesture SDK aktualisiert werden, indem folgende Befehle auf dem Raspberry Pi (über SSH oder auf einem Terminal am Bildschirm) ausgeführt werden:
kinemic@kinemic-evaluation-pack:~$ wget https://kinemic.com/dl/upgrade_eval_pack.sh kinemic@kinemic-evaluation-pack:~$ chmod +x upgrade_eval_pack.sh kinemic@kinemic-evaluation-pack:~$ ./upgrade_eval_pack.sh
Das heruntergeladene Skript wird anschließend das registrierte Paket-Repository auf dem Raspberry aktualisieren und den Zugang zu Kinemic's Artifactory eintragen.
Das Skript fragt dabei nach den Zugangsdaten für den Artifactory Zugriff. Weitere Informationen dazu finden sich hier im Hilfeportal im Bereich SDK / Artifactory.
Während der Ausführung des Skripts kann folgende Ausgabe zu sehen sein:

Dies bedeutet, dass im Hintergrund automatische Updates durch Ubuntu durchgeführt werden (etwa, weil länger keine Internetverbindung zur Verfügung stand). Sobald diese Updates abgeschlossen sind, wird das Skript weiterlaufen.
Es kann in seltenen Fällen trotzdem folgender Fehler auftauchen:
E: Unable to lock the administration directory (/var/lib/dpkg/), is another process using it?
Dieser Fehler resultiert aus großen Updates (mit vielen Paketen) und der fehlenden offiziellen Möglichkeit von Ubuntu auf andere Updates zu warten (Details hier). Warten Sie (größere Sicherheitsupdates können unter Umständen 30 Minuten dauern) und versuchen Sie es dann erneut.

You can update a legacy Evaluation Package to use the latest release of our software based on the Kinemic Gesture SDK by executing the following commands on the Raspberry Pi (via SSH or on a terminal on screen):
kinemic@kinemic-evaluation-pack:~$ wget https://kinemic.com/dl/upgrade_eval_pack.sh kinemic@kinemic-evaluation-pack:~$ chmod +x upgrade_eval_pack.sh kinemic@kinemic-evaluation-pack:~$ ./upgrade_eval_pack.sh
The script you download will replace the Kinemic software repository on the Pi with the SDK respository using our Artifactory.
You will be asked for your credentials for the Artifactory access. Additional information is available here in the solution center under SDK / Artifactory.
During the execution of the script you might see the following output:

You will see this if Ubuntu is running software upgrades in the background (e.g. due to longer unavailability of an Internet connection). The script will resume its execution once these updates are finished.
Sometimes you might see this error during the execution:
E: Unable to lock the administration directory (/var/lib/dpkg/), is another process using it?
Unfortunately we can't avoid this error due to the missing official support for waiting for large running updates from Ubuntu (see details here). We recommend waiting for some time (large updates with many packets can take up to 30 minutes) and trying to run the upgrade script again.
